VILLA IN PARADISE - HOTEL OR GUEST HOUSE?

I suppose that we are a cross between the two. We endeavour to be a friendly and welcoming retreat from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Some establishments are now labelled `Boutique`. This seems to be a modern phrase for what we try to achieve. So,hotel ,boutique hotel or guest house - come and try and you can decide for yourself.

New addition to Villa-in-Paradise

Have just finished adding Villa Unawatuna to web site www.villa-in-paradise.com It is a 4 bedroom modern villa close to Villa-in-Paradise and only 100 metres from the world famous beach at Unawatuna. All bedrooms have air con and villa is finished to a very high standard. Reasonable rentals make this a tempting choice for either families or groups wishing to enjoy the charms of Unawatuna. Comes complete with cleaning staff and breakfast chef. Full time chef can be organised. Also tours both local and countrywide can be arranged. Swimming pool and leisure facilities at nearby Villa in Paradise are available to guests free of charge.

VILLA IN PARADISE SRI LANKA

We are enjoying a few days hiatus after an extremely busy period covering both Test Match cricket at Galle Stadium ( best forgotten ) and Christmas and New Year. All our guests have left for Siberian weather back in Europe. Fortunately the weather here in Sri Lanka remains great. The beach at Unawatuna is quieter and the restaurants are not so busy. Suits us wrinklies.

New chef at Villa in Paradise

We now have a new chef. Her name is Sriyani and she prepares wonderful Sri Lankan cuisine. Her rice and curry ROCK. Sri Lankan curry dishes include Banana Flower , Pineapple , Aubergine , Jack Fruit , Tuna fish , all served with either plain or vegetable fried rice ( Basmathi or Red Rice) and accompanied by coconut sambal , dhal and popadoms. Delish.

Dessert favourites are Banana pancakes with kitul treacle and ice cream.
